We are here to make your event perfect and stress free by guiding you step-by-step through the planning process. From selecting a location for the event to planning the menu, booking entertainment or speakers, issuing invitations, deciding on decorations, and making travel or accommodation arrangements for attendees if required, We will make it happen and when the day of the big event finally arrives, We will be on hand at your event to make sure it all runs smoothly. One of the many benefits of having Favored by Yodit Events assist you with your event is that we understand all the planning and logistics involved with delivering a successful event. Events like weddings, parties, meetings and fundraisers cannot “slip by or just happen.” Once you announce a date, there is almost no turning back. There are months, at times years, of planning, scheduling, negotiating and marketing that have to be done and you must to be ready. There are no do-over’s!

Our initial consultation is complimentary. This is a chance for us to get to know each other to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
It depends on the type of event. We do charge a flat rate for our standard event planning packages. In most cases, a retainer is required to secure our services. A fee schedule will be tailored to your needs prior to signing a contract.
We have coordinated small dinner parties with less than ten people to special events and weddings with hundreds of guests.
We have a policy to respond to all emails and phone messages in a timely manner. We aim to respond to all messages within 48 hours. Regardless of the service contracted for, all clients will have access to unlimited communication with our team.
We only contract one wedding or event per day per wedding consultant.
The wedding consultant you’ve contracted with will personally be at your event along with one assistant. We will have more assistants should you request that.
For special events and weddings, all consultants and assistants wear professional attire.
Since weddings can turn into 10, 12, and even 14-hour days, hot vendor meals during your reception are much appreciated. However, we are there to do a job and will not drink any alcohol.

Although the planner at the venue will desire to help you, his/her first responsibility will be to the venue. If there is a problem in the kitchen and you need to be greeted and have your dress bustled, any venue challenge will take precedence. Your Favored by Yodit Event Planner works for you and will be there every step of the way to help. In addition, your Favored by Yodit planner is trained in helping you with the entire wedding weekend as opposed to just the part that relates to the venue.
Your wedding is a costly and highly emotional event. Because of this you should select a planner that you feel will be a partner that will understand you, your communication style, and will be true to your vision. Meet with all planner candidates personally and be sure that you are meeting with the person who will actually be working with you. It will become quite clear to you who is a trained professional and who makes you feel most at ease.
We offer a wide range or services. Some clients may only need a vision session consultation while another may want the ultimate in assistance. Favored by Yodit Events will gladly schedule a complimentary consultation and help you decide what services will meet your needs and budget.
We work for our clients. Certainly we bring what we have found to be successful to you, but we want your event to be customized and to represent you. Your guests should arrive and think how much the events reflect the bride and groom or client, not who the planner was. In fact some of our favorite parts of past celebrations have come from our clients initial ideas!

Our office is located in Northern Virginia, but we are very active throughout the entire Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We also travel outside of the region, and have planned events for clients in New York and Internationally in the past.

Yes. I have worked with other planners for prior events. It all depends on the size and level of detail required for the event. Nonetheless, when working with other planners or assistants, there has to be effective collaboration in order to obtain the ultimate goal of delivering the client’s dream event.
We do! We bring on interns twice a year- during our “high seasons”- in the Fall/Winter and Spring/ Summer. Internships length varies. Resumes can be submitted at anytime to yodit@favoredbyyodit.com. Please note “Intern Applicant” in the title of your e-mail. Resumes will be kept on file for up to 6 months.
