Today's shoot was inspired by one of our principal planner, Yodit's, favorite movies, 50 Shades of Grey (and the fact that the last installment, 50 Shades Freed, comes out in just a few weeks!). But let's be honest, it's all of our guilty pleasures. Taking place inside one of D.C.'s chicest hotels, Kimpton's Mason and Rook, this shoot was a dream come true from start to finish. We hope you enjoy, and be warned: things get a little steamy.
We dubbed this shoot #50ShadesofChic (go check out the tag on Instagram!) and we truly couldn't have achieved that without the help of our Favored Vendors. From the insane rose arrangement by Ros La'Fleur to the tuxedos from Rent Lapel this was one of our favorite shoots to date.
This was the kind of wedding that we envisioned being very opulent, but sexy. Few color palettes convey this sense of sensuousness than red, black and grey. The feathers in the floral arrangements were a great, unexpected twist that added to the atmosphere
Mason and Rook, aside from being beautifully decorated and located right in the heart of downtown D.C., has one of the most elegant rooftops we've seen. The on-site restaurant and bar, Radiator, is also a great venue to host smaller events or grab one of their handmade specialty cocktails.
