What is Your Love Language?

LL Being in a relationship is fun, exciting and full of new experiences, but it also takes time, commitment and compromise to make it work. One of the main reasons relationships fail is because of communication problems. Often we hear about ways to better communicate verbally but not as often do we hear about ways to improve our emotional communication. One activity that I always find helpful in this area is discovering your Love Language.

There are 5 Love Languages: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. Everyone receives and gives love in one of the following areas. Knowing you and your partner’s love language will help the both of your connect better emotionally and understand each other’s needs.

Words of Affirmation: If your spouse's primary love language is words of affirmation, your spoken praise and appreciation will fall like rain on parched soil. Before long, you will see new life sprouting in your marriage as your spouse responds to your words of love.

Acts of Service: Do you remember the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words"? For some people, that is particularly true of love. If acts of service is your spouse's primary love language, nothing will speak more deeply to him or her emotionally than simple acts of service.

Receiving Gifts: In every society throughout human history, gift giving has been perceived as an expression of love. Giving gifts is universal, because there is something inside the human psyche that says if you love someone, you will give to him or her. The gifts need not be expensive or elaborate; it's the thought that counts. Even something as simple as a homemade card or a few cheerful flowers will communicate your love to your spouse. Little things mean a lot to a person whose primary love language is receiving gifts.

Quality Time: If your spouse's love language is quality time, giving him or her your undivided attention is one of the best ways you can show your love. Some men pride themselves on being able to watch television, read a magazine, and listen to their wives, all at the same time. That is an admirable trait, but it is not speaking the love language of quality time.

Physical Touch: the love language of physical touch includes everything from putting a hand on your mate's shoulder as you walk by, touching his or her leg as you're driving together, and holding hands while you're walking to kissing, embracing and sexual intercourse. If physical touch is your spouse's primary love language, nothing communicates love more clearly than for you to take the initiative to reach out and touch your mate.

Tip Tuesday: 15 Cheap Wedding Ceremony Decoration Ideas on a Budget

Whether your wedding is in a big, elegant church, or a rustic, old garden, or at a white, sandy beach, the backdrop and decorations of a wedding ceremony can really make a lasting impression. And luckily, a pretty ceremony doesn't have to cost a fortune. When it comes to ceremony decorating, less tends to be more. Additionally, you can save some money by being creative and keeping it simple. Here are 15 ideas for decorating your ceremony while sticking to your budget.

Save Money on Ceremony Decorations at a Church

1. Use Your Venue’s Decorations If you’re getting married in a church, see what decorations they have for you to use. Many have candelabras which can add sophistication to your ceremony. Also, you may not have to decorate at all if you plan to get married during Christmas or Easter time when churches are already adorned with flowers and greenery.

2. Use Candles Instead of Flowers Candles are a lot cheaper than wedding flower arrangements, and can often be more romantic. Use them at the altar, to line the aisle (make sure they’re in fireproof bags or enclosed in glass to prevent fire hazards), or even in place of bouquets.

3. Get Some Potted Plants In the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, they lined the aisle of the beautiful Westminster Abbey with big, potted trees creating an English garden atmosphere. You can do something similar by bringing some potted plants from home or borrowing a few from a friend.

4. Buy Lots of Tulle There are so many fun things that you can do with tulle to decorate, but here are two of my favorites. The first thing you can do is create a canopy effect with the tulle. Have a few friends hang some from the center of the ceiling and then drape it down to the corners of the altar or stage. To complement the tulle canopy, use tulle to make bows to put on the pews or rows of chairs.

5. Decorate the Altar Only If you have a beautiful wedding venue already, there is no need to go overboard with your decorations. Perhaps all you need is a simple arrangement at the altar.

6. Decorate Your Own Unity Candle This is a fun and easy project that can be done in less than one hour. Go to a craft store and buy a plain, white candle that is at least two inches in diameter. You will also need to buy a ribbon (at least two inches wide) and some sequins. To assemble your own unity candle, glue the ribbon around the bottom of the candle and then glue the sequins on the front of the candle so that they spell the first letter of the groom’s last name.

7. Go Shelling                                                                                                                                                                                   If you live by the beach and have access to free shells, put them in clear vases or hurricanes to be used as wedding decorations. Although shells would be a great addition to a wedding near the ocean, they would also be a beautiful added surprise to a landlocked wedding as well.

8. Throw Down Some Flower Petals Even if you do not have a flower girl, you can still throw down some flower petals along the aisle. This can be done as part of the decorating process before the guests arrive. Flower petals are inexpensive to buy compared to actual flower arrangements, so if you really want flowers but don’t want to spend the money, this is a great way to add them into the decoration of your ceremony.

Save Money on Ceremony Decorations Outdoors

9. Pick a Naturally Beautiful Setting Outdoor garden, beach, or mountain weddings are already decorated for you. For example, if you’re getting married at a farm, throw down some hay bales for seating and you’ve got a rustic, but romantic aisle to walk down. If you want a garden wedding, make sure you get married in the spring when all the flowers are in full bloom.

10. Have a Focal Point There needs to be some sort of focal point that you and your spouse-to-be meet at to be wedded. The focal point will act as a frame around the event. Some of the most common options are arches and gazebos. First check to see if you will have one provided to you by your venue. If not, you can buy one, rent one, or make one. Unless you are a carpenter or a handyman, you should probably opt to rent one. I suggest renting an arch since they are typically cheaper than gazebos and look just as nice.

11. Hang Some Christmas Lights If you are getting wed in the evening, white Christmas lights are a must. And if you’re renting an archway, it would be the perfect place for the lights. Also consider hanging lights in some of the trees if you will be in an outdoor setting.

12. Mow the Lawn This may seem obvious, but if you are getting married in a backyard, start working on the lawn early to ensure that it will be ready in time for the big day. If the yard is kept up with regularly, it will look better for the wedding. Also, start early to plan out what flowers and plants you want to feature. Planting bulbs months in advance will save you from buying more expensive flowers to plant the week before the wedding.

13. Use a Theme to Guide You I went to a wedding not too long ago that had an amazing “Zen” theme throughout. Some of the decorations included paper parasols, lanterns, and bonsai trees. They even had rock gardens as the wedding reception centerpieces to complete the theme. What’s great about using a theme is that you only need a few elements to make a big impact on the overall impression of the ceremony.

14. Light It Up In addition to white Christmas lights or candles, other ways to light up your evening are to use luminaries, torches, and lanterns. Use what is most appropriate given your particular wedding venue. Also, keep in mind whether or not children will be at your wedding and if it would cause any issues to have open flames.

15. Blow Bubbles Although this may sound childish, bubbles can actually add an elegant touch if done correctly. If you’re going to use a bubble machine, make sure that the machine is out of sight and that the bubbles are not coming out too quickly or too slowly. Also make sure that the bubble machine is not too noisy.

The key to successful wedding ceremony decor is simplicity. Clean, elegant flower arrangements, a few strategically placed candles or some potted plants to add a little greenery are all you need to create a romantic and memorable ceremony. Less is more – which ultimately means more money in your wallet.

Sweets tables are a growing trend and guest favorite. Whether you're hosting a birthday party, wedding or brunch a sweets table is a must!

Here are some fun and easy recipes to get the party started!

Strawberry Mimosas:

Ingredients: strawberries , champagne.

Directions: puree the strawberries in a blender or food processor. Pout puree into a glass and top with champagne.

Strawberry shortcake parfait:

Ingredients: 1 large angel food cake (plain), 2 pkg fresh strawberries( frozen is fine), 1 tub of cool whipped topping, strawberry mousse.

Directions: Make strawberry mousse according to recipe, Blend one pkg of strawberries to make puree (I used pulse for this), and the other pkg cut strawberries in half, put aside. Cut angel food cake into three sections. Layer bowl first with one section of angel food cake, (w) topping, strawberry puree, mousse, and a layer of cut strawberries

Strawberry Tart:

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • around 1 pound of fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temp is easiest to work with but mine was chilled)
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Remove hulls from strawberries and slice them in half. Put them in a bowl, sprinkle them with sugar, gently mix them and then set them aside. Meanwhile, prepare the crust:

For the crust (adapted from David Lebovitz)

  • 6 tablespoons (3 oz) butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil (I usually use canola but this time I used coconut oil)
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 cup flour
  1. Preheat oven to 400°
  2. In an ovenproof bowl (such as a Pyrex) mix first five ingredients. Put the bowl in the oven for around 15 minutes (the edges will be brown and the butter will be bubbling).
  3. Carefully remove the bowl (it will be very hot) and quickly mix in the flour until it forms a ball of dough.
  4. Place the dough into a 9 inch tart pan with a removable bottom and spread it around with a spatula. When it is cool enough to handle, press it into bottom and sides of the pan with your fingers. Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork around ten times and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

While the crust is baking, place the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in a small bowl.  After around 30 minutes, there should be some liquid in bowl of strawberries. Drain it into the cream cheese and mix everything together. You can do this by hand, but a mixer or hand blender will be faster and make it smoother.

When the crust is cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture onto the bottom of the tart. Arrange the strawberry slices over the cream cheese and chill. Slice and serve.

That’s it! Enjoy!

#WeddingWednesday Groom to Groom: What Our First Year of Marriage Taught Me...

1

I use to be scared of the thought of marriage. Giving my all to one person, trusting them with everything, letting them in wholeheartedly. It was something that I thought would have to be earned by this fictional woman who I was destined to meet. As a teenager, falling in love was something too common, but when college arrived and I entered my pre-adulthood, falling in love was a disease. Never wanting to fall in love or show too much love was a lifestyle for me. That sent me on a journey of partying and women, until...

2

March 18, 2011 (two years removed from college graduation) was the day that I met my wife.....at the club! The most unlikely place to meet a life partner (in my eyes). I spotted her from across the room and drunkenly approached her to ask her name. This attempt had been done before with the same woman and I was told that I was too young. But this time, laced with liquid courage, I took another shot. After small talk, we exchanged numbers. There was no intent to marry right off the bat, but at this point in my life I'd told myself that every female needs to be screened for potential longevity.

Why did I marry her? Two reason: #1. Our similarities in religion, family values and biggest fears (hers-raising a child by herself; mine- dying without the chance to raise my own child.) Two: I asked myself, if my daughter was to grow up and be like her, would I be ok with that? The answer was yes. She had so many great qualities that her negatives weren't even an issue. We dated for a year and a half before I proposed. Why so quickly? My mother always told me that it only takes 4 seasons to learn someone. I interpreted that to mean that marriage is the journey of learning and loving someone.

I like my wife as a friend and I love her as a partner. I think liking someone is more important than loving them in some situations. Marriage is one of them. We do things that friends can do together and that makes our marriage stronger. Our marriage has not been a yellow brick road. A few things that I realize about our marriage that has helped it grow:

#1. We don't expose our problems to others. We keep our quarrels in our home and squash any beef we have with each other in a civil manner. Tears have been shed and some yelling but we never go too long without discussing it and coming to a agreement about what happened.

#2. Sometime I have to give in. Some arguments are my fault and sometimes they are hers. But there are those rare occasions where we both are right and wrong and in those moments I must take the bullet. It doesn't really matter who's fault it is, the end result is a stronger relationship. So if I must take the blame, then that is what I will do.

#3. Make decisions together. Major decisions that could be life changing, I must consult her first. I've even started asking her opinions on small issues to, giving her stake in my life. I had to realize it's no longer about me, it's about us.

#4. Money! Money! Money!- Many marriages end over money disputes. My wife makes significantly more money than I do. She can pay bills and have money left over to spend on whatever she wants, which I can't, but that doesn't make me less of a man. I pull my weight in other ways. And I've learned how to better manage my money so that I can contribute to our lives just as my wife does.

There are more things that have helped my marriage grow but these are the primary ones.

We've only been married a little over a year but we continue to work at our future. That's what keeps me going, our future. The one thing that I did realize is that marriage isn't much different than when we were just dating. The same commitment that I was suppose to have then, I have now. And I always ask myself, "If she did this to me, how would I feel?" That question keeps me from doing a lot of things. Keeps me on track to our future.

Neither of us are perfect, and we aren't too big to say sorry. As long as there is progress then we are on the right track. And now with a little baby girl in our lives we must work even harder to show her what true love really is.

#TipTuesday 10 Tips for the Perfect Outdoor Wedding

If you've decided to have an outdoor wedding, congratulations! Outdoor weddings are romantic and beautiful. However, they aren't as easy as they may look. Outdoor weddings come with additional caveats and pitfalls, but if you follow these tips, you'll be sure to shine on your wedding day.

1. Make your guests comfortable Think about what the weather will likely be at the time of day and month of the year of your outdoor wedding. Sunny and hot? Don't leave your guests uncomfortably melting – have your ushers give guests ice-cold bottles of water as they are seated. Consider printing your wedding program on a fan so that guests may cool themselves. Don't forget to have plenty of sunscreen on hand as well. For a very warm location, look into renting large electric fans (don't forget a generator) and/or a tent to shade the suns rays. If it will be cold and damp, make sure you tell guests that so they can wear extra layers. A simple xeroxed insert will do. You might want to have lap blankets on hand, or rent portable heaters.

programs

2. Have a backup plan What will you do if it rains? The ideal outdoor wedding location has an indoor location waiting just in case. Many brides and grooms opt to have their ceremony outside and reception inside. In a pinch, the tables can be scooted to the back of the room during the ceremony. A tent is another option, but only for light to moderate rain storms. A heavy rain will soak the ground underneath, leaving guests with soggy and muddy shoes. Make sure any tent you rent is sturdy so it won't flip over, and that it has thick and weighted sides.

tent 23. Plan for Wind Many outdoor weddings suffer from windy conditions. Avoid light fabrics like chiffons and china silks in your dress and the bridesmaid dresses. Tell your hairstylist that you'll be having an outdoor wedding so she/he can plan a style that won't leave you looking like Cousin It! Men in the wedding party should use pomade or other styling product. Again, tell your guests in a printed insert so that they can plan accordingly. And of course, make sure your tent will stand up to gusting winds or find an indoor backup plan.

updo

4. Can everybody hear? When you picture your dream wedding at the beach, you're probably not hearing the roaring of the waves, the rushing wind, or the local kids running and screaming around you. Look into renting a sound system with clip mikes for the bride, groom and officiant. Your DJ or band may be able to easily arrange this for you.

speaker5. Decorations One of the bonuses of an outdoor wedding is the natural beauty around you, lessening your need to decorate. But you still need to do some work. Visit the site a week before your wedding to make sure the grass is mown, the ground raked, and the flowers have bloomed. If your wedding is at a public park, you may want to ask the groomsmen or friends to do this the morning of your ceremony. If it's been an especially cold season, you may need to supplement the flowers with some potted bulbs from a florist. Other decorations you may want to consider include an arch or trellis to focus the ceremony and frame the bride and groom as they say their vows; strings of lights or lanterns in the trees; luminarias; torches; or farolitas.

lights

6. Make things tasty outside Does your caterer have experience planning an outdoor wedding menu? Make sure they're planning things that will keep well outdoors in the heat. Avoid things like mayonnaise salads or dishes which must be served cold.

Food

7. Don't leave your guests parched Since alcohol is dehydrating, consider serving a variety of lemonades, teas and punches. Be sure to have plenty of ice and water around as well. For a fancy cocktail, why not serve a classic mint julep or a mojito? The mint will refresh and cool your guests.

drinks

8. Those pesky flying things Be sure to put out citronella candles or a bug zapper so that your guests won't spend the whole ceremony swatting at the air.

candle

9. Here comes the sun Consider timing your outdoor wedding for sunset where your guests will see you take your vows surrounded by the warm glow of the sun. Those having a daytime outdoor wedding should orient the ceremony so that the sun will be on guests' backs rather than in their eyes.

sunset10.Permits Don't forget to contact your city parks department or other local government to get a permit for an outdoor wedding. Be sure to ask about rules concerning trash removal, candle or torch lighting, and pre-wedding photography.

You can go with either circular or rectangular guest tables for the reception. Round tables create a more intimate atmosphere where long tables create an open feeling. And don’t forget, lighting is everything! Placing candles on each table gives a space a more romantic vibe.

Flower purl cake

And what’s a party without cake? This beautifully crafted cake can serve as more than just a delicious desert. The elegant flowers and shimmering pearls can add to the decor of the wedding. Instead of having one large cake, try placing one of these as the center of each guest table. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Favors

These vintage dictionary word necklaces make the perfect party favor. You can customize each one by selecting your own word or phrase.

Now here are some tips on how to create your own 1930s themed dream wedding.

The Dress

If your thinking early 30’s then you need to be looking for a fitting flowing gown, and be considering slippery higher sheen fabrics. Cowl Necklines, curved trains and even medieval sleeves can be a major part of the overall look.              The most exciting thing about planning a 1930s wedding is choosing the clothing. You can either find genuine vintage pieces, or have reproductions made. Many bridal shops have brilliant selections of vintage style gowns, and you can find some specialists online that actually reproduce vintage wedding clothing.

Groom

Okay, so the bride is now perfectly dressed and ready to dazzle come the wedding day. What's left to complete the stunning vintage picture? Why, the groom of course!Making a comeback, popular tuxedo can be thought of as a much more modern wedding choice. In fact, during the 1920s and 1930s, the morning suit was the usual choice for weddings. It wasn't until the 1930s that the tuxedo began to work its way into acceptable wedding attire.Go trendy and pick up a tuxedo; they’re making a comeback anyway! The original vintage suits of this era are truly spectacular as well; if you can find one in your size, snap it up!

Venue/Entertainment

Use the entertainment of that era as inspiration to create a 1930s-themed wedding. The 30s was the golden era of the lindy hop, a type of swing dancing popular from 1935 to 1945. This exciting partner dance that features slides, jumps and throws is entertaining to watch, so if you are feeling adventurous you could hire professional lindy hop dancers as the entertainment for your wedding reception. Other popular dances from the 1930s include the foxtrot and the rumba. Take lessons to learn either of those dances and perform it as the first dance. Another option is to invite the wedding guests to join a conga line during the reception. Conga lines were popular in nightclubs in the 1930s so if it was ever time for a conga, it’s definitely at your 1930s wedding.

To cut costs without jeopardizing the beauty of the room, alternate tall centerpieces with small arrangements. I love the soft pinks with the pure white vases. Did you peep the chandeliers at the top? Beautiful!

The vases the flowers are in can make a statement just as much as the actual arrangement. I love how the gold Candelabra, crystals and clear candle holders add a perfectly accent the flowers.

I love this centerpiece becuase it is simple but still breathtaking. The blue and purple uplighting also add a nice touch.

Centerpieces aren't limited to just the table. If you are going for long tables instead of the normal round tabels, utilize the ceiling space above the tables. Not only will it keep your guests talking, if also eliminates the fear of blocking their view.

Give Your Wedding Toast a Makeover: The Best Man & Maid of Honor Speech Guide

image Being asked to speak at a wedding is an extreme honor; although, soon after the panic usually starts to kick in. Just remember you were asked to speak for a reason. Follow the guide below and breeze through your toast. image222222 1. Keep it short and sweet They are called toasts not speeches. No one likes to be held captive listening to your thoughts on life and love, especially after their third drink in.

2. Know your strengths Not everyone is funny, and that’s okay. Your toast to the happy couple is not meant to be a stand-up comedy punch line. It is your opportunity to wish them well in front of all of the people they love. If you feel like the joke isn’t going anywhere, ditch the toast for something more charming and sentimental.

3. Avoid blasts from the past Sometimes the past is better left exactly where it is. We understand that you and the groom or bride knew each other way back when and know all their dirty secrets but please don’t expose them. So, if you want to your friendship to last past your 4 minute toast focus on the happy times you have shared with the bride or groom and what lies ahead for them.

4. Remember who the wedding is about Their big day is not about YOU so focus on the happy couple

5. Remember this is a happy occasion Not your dissertation, so make sure you smile and speak from the heart. Whatever you do, do not stand and read your toast from the napkin you wrote down your toast last minute or your phone.

6. Remember you are “toasting” at the end Make sure you have a drink in hand and at the end ask everyone to raise his or her glass for the happy couple. Cheers!

10 Tips When Picking-up a Woman

date Happy Valentine’s Day!! Today is a wonderful opportunity to shower the ones you love with sweet treats and nice goodies. However, if you don’t have someone special to spend the day with, today is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your skills to pick up the opposite sex. To me pickup lines are very hard to properly execute. 9 times out of 10, they are going to come off as very corny and will just get you laughed at and embarrassed. For example, saying “Is that a mirror in your pocket, because I can see myself in your pants” is NOT going to end with you getting my number, getting in my pants, and probably not even my real name. So fellas to help you out, I ran across a great article on askmen.com that will help you get your foot in the door. For 10 tips that actually work along with my personal commentary, see below.

10. Introduce Yourself: As simple as this sounds, it actually works. A simple introduction with your name sounds authentic, like you are just wanting to have a casual conversation without any gimmicks. She will be impressed that you didn’t try and run some line on her that she 1) has heard a million times before, or 2) that you have probably used on a bunch of other women.

9. Stare Straight at Her: It lets her know that you are confident, and it gives you a chance to gauge her interest. If she stares back as you approach her with a smile that is an invitation that she is open to a conversation with you. Also I should clarify to stare at her FACE lol, staring at any other part of her body is going to make you look like a creep *side eye*.

8. Call Her Sexy: Now this one I disagree with slightly. I think being called sexy by a stranger is a bit uncomfortable; telling a woman she is beautiful is the better route to go in my opinion. The word sexy comes with a sexual connotation, beautiful makes her feel classy and she will be more receptive to whatever you say next.

7. Make Her Laugh: This one is perfect, but it is a bit tricky. Every woman wants a man that can put a smile on her face and make her laugh. It automatically drops any defenses she has up, but it can go south quick if your funny comes off as lame. Fellas you are walking a fine line with this one, but if you can pull it off go for it.

6. Make Eye Contact: This is very similar to tip 9. Eye contact lets her know that you are interested, and will also let you know if she is interested as well. If she makes eye contact and they quickly stops looking or avoids your eyes for the rest of the night, she doesn’t want you boo. Keep gazing off into the crowd until you find the girl that meets your eyes and gives you the flirty smile back.

5. Be Sarcastic: Again, this particular tip can be a hit or miss depending on your execution, but can be a winner if you can pull it off. However, don’t confuse being sarcastic with being rude. The plan here is to come off like you aren’t trying too hard, without looking like a jerk. Tread lightly.

4. Show off: This particular tip is situational and not my favorite on the list from askmen.com. If you are on the basketball court and you are showing off your skills, or on the beach and showing off that body you have been working all winter to perfect then I am GAME. Show off ALLLLLL of THAT! Lol However, if you are in the club and want to show off by making in rain, not so impressive lol. Also, not so impressive ladies…being that girl on her hands and knees trying to pick up all the ones….just leave them there girl lol.

3. Find Something You Have in Common: This of course may have to happen after a few minutes of conversation, but if you can pinpoint something she has on or is carrying right away this is a great way in. For example, if you notice she is carrying a UMD key chain, or is reading a book by your favorite author use that to your advantage. It shows that you not only pay attention to details, but also that you share a common interest.

2. Be a Gentleman: Yes, yes, YES. You have no idea how far being courteous, cool, calm and collected will take you in a woman’s eyes. It’s the simple things that we remember and that will separate you from all of the other men. A smile, handshake, simple compliment, and an introduction is more impressive than you think.

AND the #1 Tip is my own…

1. Be Yourself: There is no bigger turnoff than a man that doesn’t know how to be true to himself and is trying to overcompensate while he is with his boys. A woman can tell when you aren’t being real with her and are trying too hard. Be the best version on yourself and show that side, whether you a comedian or the shy gentleman, be THAT guy and the right woman will reciprocate.

Are there any tips that I missed or that you don’t agree with? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Dating!!

2014 Spring Wedding Trends

Pantone-2014 Every year, trends take over the fashion world and the wonderful world of weddings. Not only are the colors of the season revealed as you can see from the graphic above, but also dress styles and accessories. This year the trends are absolutely breathtaking and are easy for any bride to incorporate into their big day.

1. Colors: Pastels- Brighten up your wedding color palate with Radiant Orchid, Cayenne, Dazzling Blue, and Sand just to name a few. The colors can be used in the fashion, flowers, or décor. Choose one or three, but be creative and don’t be afraid to try something different!

*See Graphic Above*

2. Floral Crowns: Who said flowers were only for your bouquet? Perfect for an outdoor wedding, instead of a veil or a tiara, top your head with beautiful florals. If it isn’t right for you as the bride, try a floral crown on your cute flower girl.

3. Dramatic Veils: If you don’t want your dress to take all of the attention, opt for a dramatic veil for your showstopper.

4. Short Shirts: When most think of wedding dresses, they think of a long formal gown. This year, short dresses were on every wedding runway.

5. Appliques: Even dresses need accessories sometimes! Pick a dress with floral or lace appliques for your big day to make even a simple dress look extravagant.
